made in france

So I recently purchased a road bike to begin my new adventure into cycling. I've always wanted to cycle but never was motivated to until now. I don't know if its the feeling of freedom, the wind through your hair, or the chance to wear skin tight lycra that draws me to this sport/activity.

My adventure started with some research. The first thing I realize is that this new sport that I plan to embark on is exspensive. Like all my other hobbies and sports activity that I join, they tend to lean towards the pricey side. For instance, I also enjoy paintball, badminton, football, photography, and golf. All of these hobbies require a good deal of capital to start. I knew the first thing I had to do is look into a more economical way of getting into this sport. I scoured the internet and found my alternative, Vintage! It seems that there is a resurgance of riders that are purchasing vintage steel frame road bikes and updating them with newer parts. An amazing testement to the craftmanship of yester years.

After researching a few things like; fit, make, model, parts, upgrades, etc.. I was able to find a Motobecane Mirage for $100! I went to pick up the bike from the owner who had received the bike as a gift from his manager. The tires were flat and the bike looked tired but not worn. The paint was in amazing condition and all teh moving parts worked. Did I mention little to no rust on any of the bike. Amazing! So after hours of cleaning, degreasing, polishing, and lubing, it was sparkling. I am still waiting on the tubes since I purchase the wrong tubes with different valves.

Here is a couple of shots I took of her this weekend. Enjoy.

Lonely Trooper

I recently started a small photography project for myself called Lonely Trooper. It is based on the fall of the Empire and how one Stormtrooper that goes by the name TK4082, has to acclimate himself back into the real world. Think Office Space meets Star Wars.

Here is a link to the rest of the set.

Lonely Trooper

hajime

The title is Japenese for; to beigin. It's a verb, an action word. Thats what I plan to do, I plan to take action. I plan to corral my thoughts, fear, dreams, and experiences into a nice hmtl page with colors and fonts that will personify my feelings through a the chaotic organization of letters.

All accounts put upon this screen may or may not be of the entire truth but thats a relative term. Relative to oneself and the mass majority in which we all try to define the truth and inturn convince everyone that it is fact.

I tend to babble and speak in metphors so this might get confusing but bear with it. You'll be rewarded with worldly treasures that mean nothing to anyone except those that need time to kill. For that I am the Time Assasin, the thief that took the 5 minutes from you and nevered returned what was stolen.

Once again it begins...
